Aila's photo session

I have resigned that I just don't have the time to document Aila's growth the way I was able to with Tesla (typing part of this with 1 hand as she sleeps in my arms now...).  I am taking a gazillion daily pics but throwing them on my laptop in chunks when I have time. As I see her fleeting newborness already going away, I am having to simply enjoy her growth, and appreciate these moments with her vs. trying to note every milestone as if to hold on to them. She is growing like a weed, already with chubby rolls and a pretty strong neck.

Nonetheless, I am trying as best I can, to capture snippets of Aila's details. So last week when lovely Sasha, my friend (and doula), invited me to have photos taken of Aila, I jumped at the opportunity. Sasha is an accomplished photographer with a wonderfully warm style. I am so happy to have Aila's own little photo session. Tesla had quite a few with our friend Patrick Roddie (gallery), but in a different style. I like that Tesla and Aila will have distinct sets of their own pics. They are, afterall, different persons. Most importantly, I am grateful to have these awesome pics that snap sweet Aila at this stage. I think Sasha captures the delicateness and cuteness of Aila, and I want Aila to have this for her future self :  )

So very beautiful and touching. First photo: I am an adventure I hear Aila say. The cuteness of the big ears one, I smiled. By the third I wanted to crawl onto the covering with her and curl up to sleep by her perfect side. I almost cried with the connection between you two as she completely gives herself over to your divine care. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to meeting my new niece soon.
