I usually come back Sat. morning from Tokyo, hang a bit, then spend the rest of the day sleeping. I wake up for dinner, then head back once again to sleep. Jet-lag lingers, but overall, that's it.
This time, Dav is working on a project, and the week I was away delayed his plans since he was taking care of T by himself. I'm incredibly proud (T loved it), and very sympathetic to the time he lost. So this time on Sat., I stayed up all day other than dozing off for an hour. I took T to the park, fed her, and basically tried to allow Dav some focus time.
By Sat. night, even though I hadn't slept much, I started waking up. I think it's the case that the more I sleep, the more my body accepts the need to sleep, whereas since I didn't sleep, I was somehow wired. Now it's Tuesday evening by when I'm usually totally fine, but I find myself struggling to wake-up in the morning, and then after coming home from work, I'm quite tired. I fell asleep without meaning to on the couch while T joined me dressed up as a princess, playing with her new Japanese musical book, singing along with the songs. I only dozed for a bit, but still. (Dav was at work late.) Now it's past 11, and I don't feel sleepy, but I'll try.
I think next time I'll stick to the sleep all day Sat. method :)
