Still buggy.,tried 10 times or so, but I think this will work.TestSan Francisco, CA 94131GPS: 37.754845, -122.44653Street Map / Image Map
Ah, so I'm home now and thrilled that it actually worked WITH the map location. Isn't that a bazillions times coooooool??
But, to be fair, I was up at Twin Peaks (I drove there specifically to have a perfect 1st time location) for about an hour...trying and trying and trying. The program kept crashing or just didn't do what it was supposed to so I had to try well over 10 times. And I'm still learning where to put in the text for titles, etc., so bear with me until I get this right. I'm leaving this all up "as is" so you can see me bumble around, working my way through this.
I am so excited though!!

Great! Are you using the GPS we bought or did you have to get another one from SIMS?

It's the same gps device...but the program is so finicky that I can't tell what's causing the complications at the moment. At least I know the potential, and am totally exicited about it, but believe me, to stand at Twin Peaks, all by myself with my numb fingers taking pictures over and over again is a bit hard. But the program is totally cool, so I plan to use the bejisus out of it. I mean, look at the map and the image: it's absolutely beyond my dreams!! And I know that it's just me getting to know the program...
I am beyond myself at how cool this is...Campaliciousians are quite understanding..but I feel weird all enthusiastic about my device...

Oh...and yeah...I got there at sunset and as I frantically tried to upload, it became rather dark. In the end, the picture indeed turned out OK, but it was a fluke from me just being there for a bit.

Very cool!
It would be sweet to tie this in w/ the unbelievably cool maps.google.com.. It accepts lat/longitude data as queries so I don't think it would be a technical problem. Not sure what sort of funding/agreements Jeff + Co. might have w/ Rand McNally though. It's simply a link though, so you wouldn't have a prob on the Google side.
