After having a fabulous Thai brunch with Cameo and Dav at Berkeley's Thai Cultural Center and digesting it on the mini steam train ride in Tilden Park, I came home and did some house cleaning. A little vacuuming here, washing the tub there, cleaning up odds and ends, and laundry (my favorite). I realize this can be a chore, but for me, it's somewhat theraputic. I can't tell why, but there's something very fulfilling for me to get the house clean, and paper piled up over the week organized. Just feels good. Though the cats run and hide when the monster vacuum cleaner comes out, even they seem a bit more relaxed once I'm done. If they could smile, I think they would. Anyhow, I'm feeling all good and ready for the week : )
p.s. here's a bonus pic for ya'll. This was from the Reclaim the Streets protest where the dress attire was pirates. I was lazy and wore a bandana that Dav had, but at least I got in the spirit and was saying, "arrrrrrrrgh!" to be all scary and piratey.

What? No one commented on how good you look in that picture? Okay, I don't comment a lot because I don't like to, but I can't let this injustice continue! That picture looks GREAT! It looks just like a picture out of Fitness magazine - you look like a model! =)

Mie,
laundry's my favorite, too! I though I was the only person in the world who loves doing laundry, but apparently we're two!
You're probably as anal about it as I am... I used to bring laundry detergent over from Austria, haha, and I refuse using dryers.... I'm a little less obsessed with it now, but still enjoy it tremendously. It feels like a cleansing process, it's just such a nice thing to do.

Yeah, I didn't grow up with a drying machine and also love the process of hanging clothes out to dry. But in the U.S. people don't do that and once I lived in a neighborhood that discouraged hanging clothes outside. I don't like hanging them inside if I can avoid it and since we live with other people, I can't exactly have my underwear up for viewing, so we use a dryer. Waste of energy. Sigh...So is Austrian detergent different? That's pretty hard core!!
