Formerly owned by a Burning Man DPW person. A seasoned playa car for sure. Hope the car will be happy that it will still be going to Burning Man, just with us this time. Dav got it so it can haul all the stuff we'll need to camp comfortably for a week+ in the desert.

Does the top come off?

Right now it has a hard top, but if we purchase a soft top, it can come off. We rather like this jeep!
But I am finding that I am very attached to Jave Fu now and don't want to even hint about its fate in front of it...

Nice ride! I always liked Jeeps, although I never owned one. I had a Toyota 4x4 which was fun to take to the desert (Anza Borrego and Joshua Tree). Now I am a settled-down papa of two, so I am into our Honda Odyssey! ;)

You and Dav got a jeep, YAY! Are you aware of the jeep wave? (Long and short of it, you wave at other jeeps when they drive by.) It's like a little community. Seriously. (at least here in NC it is. I didn't believe my husband at first, when we got our jeep, but then I noticed people raising their 2 fingers off the steering wheel as they went by.) Here: http://www.jeeptalk.org/jeep_wave.shtml
We bought a new soft top about 2 years ago - we were going to get one online, but then took that price to our local 4wheel parts store, and they matched the price. (And then we didn't have to pay shipping.)
BTW - make sure you own a copy of the book "The Jeep Owners's Bible". And check out jeepforum.com. =)
