Took Wakame and Katsuo for their annual check-up and shots. It's quite a terrifying experience for them. I have to shove them into their shared carrier box, drive them to the vet's, and wait in the reception area with meowing cats and big dogs sniffing around.
Waka and Kats ususally keep their own space from each other, but under such circumstances, they bundle up and hug each other. Wakame curls up in the corner of the carrier, hides her head under Kats, and Kats pretty much lies right on top of her with a paw around her neck. I know they are scrared, but it's sorta cute.
Inspite the nice vet, they were very eager to get away from him.

When I first got Willow my cousin told me to drive him around in the car a lot so he would be comfortable with that. I even took him on a road trip from Boulder to Flagstaff AZ (11 hours) once. Now that was insane, but he is generally fairly mellow in the car!

Hi Helen,
I totally understand. I wish I had had more flexibility with my ones, but they were totally ferral and convincing them that I was on their side took at least 6 months. With that in mind, I'm just proud that they tolerated me taking them to Tokyo, living with roommates, etc. They hang in there and we are very much an attached threesome for life despite Dav's chagrin...I hope because they know I will always be there for them and will protect them the best I can even though I must live my life. They've come a long way... this coming BM, we must share more about our cats!!

It is hard to get TuTu out of her carry case to see the vet. She is such a fraidy cat outside the apartment. Agroaphobic?
